Focused On Success
We are delighted to report another fantastic set of examination results this academic year with 71% students gaining grades 4+ (the old A*-C) in Mathematics and 70% in English.
Sixth Form results continue to be outstanding and again are our best ever, placing us in the top 4% of schools Nationally. The Academy has maintained its hugely impressive record on destinations with 100% of our students gaining their first choice of University. Applications are now welcome from students across the region. Visit our Sixth Form Open Evening on Tuesday 21st November at 6pm to experience what we offer our students.
Our impressive outcomes on all fronts reflect our core values, highlighting the determination and commitment of all the staff and students.
As a child-centred Academy, we focus on children being happy, confident and independent learners. We continue to be a very popular choice of school for both parents and students across the whole of Telford. Families and students in Year 6 are invited to visit the Academy on our Annual Open Day and Evening on Monday 9th October 2017. There will be presentations at 5.00pm, 6.00pm and 7.00pm to explain how the Academy operates, its ethos and vision for the future.
Latest Ofsted Judgement
On 25 April 2017 the Academy was inspected by Ofsted and we were delighted to be judged Good with many Outstanding features. Click for more info

11 of our Year 7 students, who are taking part on the Academy’s ‘Most Able’ programme, visited RAF Cosford this week to take part in a wide range of STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) activities designed to help them develop their skills and learn about how STEM subjects are applied in everyday life.
Lady Satchwell and Callum (a former student) were invited for dinner at the House of Commons to participate in the SSAT’s (the Schools, Students and Teachers network) 30th Anniversary Celebration.
Year 10 students taking part in a Pathways to Law event at Warwick University, had the opportunity to practise their negotiation skills in a mock negotiation between an author and a publishing firm.
Madeley Academy’s 6.1 student Megan Price recently competed in the Lee Valley Skate Southern International Figure Skating Competition, in London.
